All members and handlers are required to meet a rigid set of Standard Operating Procedures to be a deployable, professional member. Including back ground checks, FEMA certs, ICS understanding, land navigation, crime scene preservation and much more. K9 teams train for 2 years minimum before being certified. Handlers must understand and be able to put to use scent theory, crime scene preservation, aerodynamics, hydrology, soil composition, land navigation, mapping and use of GPS units to name a few. The K9 must be well mannered, be able to pass obedience tests and be able to work off leash in conditions of high distraction. Then must pass rigorous in house test followed by an outside, independent certification before they are considered an active team. We strive to provide knowledgeable, professional and accurate teams to assist law enforcement.
